We've been Skyped

It's not like Skype was just unveiled yesterday (it's been around since 2003), but for those of us who have been completely removed from all technology except hand-held radios, it may as well have been. Now that we have a broadband connection, we've been using Skype to call and be called by our family members at home. It's a bit sporadic at times, but when it works ... it WORKS. The kids love seeing who they're talking to, love hearing their voices, and it's been a free way to connect. My sisters and I conferenced together to call Mom for Mothers Day and it was the next best thing to being together. Like the written word, I suppose we'll never truly escape the ease of a land line, but it sure is fun to try. www.skype.com
