Ku-ring-gai National Park

Blissful beauty

You'll hear me say this often, but I'm surprised at how accessible beauty is here. This national park is a classic example. I knew very little about it, noticed it's not that far from home, and thought we'd give it a try one morning. The kids loved the mangrove boardwalk and short hike that was adventurous enough to keep them occupied but short enough to be manageable. We ended up in a deep, dark, stunning rain forest. Nearly everywhere we go is like that -- some new adventure, some new trail, some new discovery. I already know two years won't be long enough.
